Pioneer Day

We celebrated the 24th of July with just Cooper and Tanner again. {Gosh, I miss my boys!!! Holidays just aren't the same without everyone with us.} We did manage though.....:) and we had a GREAT time despite our missing children.

I had never been to the Redmond Parade before. {In fact, I don't think I have ever celebrated the 24th anywhere besides Monroe} I was really confused when I thought the parade was over and everyone started standing up and I realized they were saluting the flag going by AGAIN?? The parade had turned around and was starting over again. Never seen that before....I love small towns!!
We couldn't get the popsicles down fast enough!
After the parade we packed a picnic and headed to the hills in the Jeep. We spent the rest of the day enjoying the mountains and each other!

My little cowboy...he was on the hunt for cows and coyotes.

We had to keep hiding the ax because Tanner wouldn't leave it alone. {Imagine that right? He doesn't leave ANYTHING alone...lol} I love that he is trying to look all innocent in this picture, when he knows he is in trouble.

And this is Cooper demonstrating what could happen if you don't leave the ax alone. You will end up looking like daddy. {who had his finger cut off with an ax when he was a little boy. Ouch}
