What you BE, they will BECOME

Ever come face to face with yourself, looked yourself square in the eye, and saw inside you to who you really are? This is what I spent Saturday doing. What an awesome experience!

I was sent to Discover Leadership Training's "Unreasonable Possibilities" workshop with about 20 of my co-workers. I wish I could have taken everyone I knew with me....I loved it!

We learned SO MUCH, I don't even know where to start to share it all. Actually, I'm not sure I want to even try.

It was all extremely personal....and I walked away with so much more awareness of the person I am, and the person I hope to someday be. I broke through a few barriers that are holding me back from being that person.....(I actually wrote my barriers on a board, and gave it a karate kick breaking it to pieces while my team cheered me on. Talk about freeing!)

I did want to share my favorite quote and concept of the day.

It is this.

"What you BE, they will BECOME"

In the context of this workshop, those words came to mean so much to me.

It became very clear to me that I need to be the person I want my children to become, be the kind of employee I want my fellow workers to become, be the kind of spouse I want my husband to become, be the kind of friend I want my friends to become, be the kind of sister I want my sisters to become.

Because I can't control others, I have to take personal responsibility for everything in my life, and change myself.

That I can do.

Do you know why?

Because I am worthy.
I am confident.
I am courageous.
I live in the moment.
I am focused on the outcome.
I am powerful.
I am positive.
I am strong.

and so are you.

Love it!!! I'm so glad you got to go. I wanted to ask you about it on Thursday, but you weren't there. So, we had to the scoop from Melissa.
